Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actress best recognized for her appearances on the TV shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her 2003 debut, she has shown her acting versatility by performing outstandingly in TV series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7, and Under the Dome. She was first noticed for her performance as Anna in the 2005 movie Assault on Precinct 13. It was, however, her performance in the role of Fannie Lou (a feminist activist for women's the rights of women) within the biography All the Way film that made her famous as an actor. Hind received praise for her performance as Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television have renewed the third season of 9-1-1. Recently Hind finished filming on the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters which is scheduled for a release in mid-2019.
